Last week we learned Babylon means confusion, and we learned about a proverb about Satan rebuilding Babylon; however, it does not go well for him. Spoiler alert, Satan and the fallen angels will be thrown into the abyss.
Let us continue learning the proverb of Satan’s downfall.
Isaiah 14:11-32
11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
God created Satan a perfect, beautiful Cherub. (Ezekiel 28:12-14) All that is about to change when Satan is brought down.
God is giving you a graphic, material picture of Satan in the pit. All Satan’s brilliant glory is brought down, and his vial music has stopped. Maggots are crawling all over and under him as he lies on the bed—maggots everywhere.
You cannot get any more dead than that!
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
“Son of the morning” is the “Morning Star” in Hebrew. Isn’t Jesus the Morning Star? How can Satan be the Morning Star? Satan likes to pretend he is Christ. He is the false Christ, the antichrist (“anti” means against, so he is against Christ).
Assyrians worshiped lucifer, the morning star, as a male at sunrise and a female at sunset. (Companion Bible side notes)
Satan thought he could strengthen the nations; instead, he weakened them. Even though he had supernatural ability, he weakened the human leaders.
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Satan says he wants to be God! He wants to be above all the angels and sit upon God’s throne. He says, “I will be god!”
We learned last week Babylon translated by the nations means “the gate to the gods”. There will be a new religion, one that is run by Satan where people follow him, thinking he is the Messiah, the Savior, but he is not Christ.
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.
Satan is saying he aims to take God’s place. In Thessalonians Chapter 2 Paul said you are not to worry about Jesus returning to earth now, as He is not coming back until Satan, the son of perdition sits in the temple of God claiming to be God.
We must follow the word of God and not fall for this new religion, which promises worldly things, not spiritual things. Beware of false claims that are not in the letters God has written to you. Beware of things that sound too good to be true, like the rapture theory that teaches you will fly away and not be tempted by the antichrist.
It is important to learn and understand the manuscripts God has presented to the prophets for you to learn the truth through His instructions. Unfortunately, many people believe what people say instead of studying God’s word themselves. Do not let any man deceive you.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
God is speaking to Satan.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Is this the “man” or iysh in the Hebrew—a mere mortal differing from a more dignified man who has the opportunity to become immortal.
This is during the Millennium and people are walking by and seeing Satan in the abyss. It is hard to believe this creature in the pit was ever admired, believed, or even listened too. They are asking, “Is he the one? The one who deceived the nations? Deceived the world?”
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, everyone in his own house.
At least these are buried in respectability.
19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet.
Satan was cast out like an abominable branch because he is the abomination of the desolator spoken of in Chapter 9 verse 7 by Daniel the prophet.
Jesus told you to learn the parable of the fig tree and about the one standing in the Holy Place where he ought not. Satan is that one.
Those who followed Satan are slain and will be buried, and those who followed God will walk on their graves.
20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
God is telling Satan he is not worthy of a burial place.
The manuscript has changed and is now a reference to Nebuchadnezzar. Keep in mind Daniel Chapter 4 was written by God through Nebuchadnezzar’s hand, not by Daniel.
21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
They will not possess the land of Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar’s children are not the ones rebuilding Babylon.
22 For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.
God is saying none of Nebuchadnezzar’s family is there, as his seed is no longer in leadership.
Satan and his seed, the Kenites, will move into this place and try to rebuild Babylon.
23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.
And so, He did. And as mentioned last week, many of the new buildings, those great halls, in Babylon are built or being built with the old bricks.
24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
God is telling you it is going to happen the way He is telling you it will happen, and no one is going to change it.
25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
This is not about the Assyrian king. He was king long before the king of Babylon. Assyrian is a type for the antichrist that is to come. This burden is referring to the burden Satan puts on the people of Babylon.
Ten names given to Satan as the Antichrist:
1) king of Babylon
2) the Assyrian
3) Lucifer, son of the morning
4) the prince that shall come
5) the king of fierce countenance
6) the vile person
7) the willful king
8) the man of sin
9) the son of perdition
10) that wicked or lawless one
26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
This burden will be upon the whole earth, which includes America.
God will stretch out His hand to everyone in judgment.
27 For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
No one can stop what God has spoken, which is written to you in His letter. You know the truth from studying His word, and the truth sets you free from the unknown, as you know what He has declared, what His plan is, and what He has purposed.
Nobody will turn back God’s hand.
28 In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.
What is the burden? Babylon. God is telling you the burden of Babylon started with Ahaz, whose name means possession. God is telling you to keep your mind out of the sand and keep possession in your mind, which has to do with a geographical possession, the City of Babylon, and the land of Babylon.
29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
Rejoice not for Ahaz’s death because the serpent will come against God’s first fruits, you, the Elect.
God is also telling you where, in the end times, that great city of Babylon is going to be. It is going to be in the area where ancient Palestine was, which is most of the Middle East today.
Lucifer is a serpent who shall produce more serpents, meaning out of Lucifer’s root shall come the Kenites, and the fallen angels and their offsprings, the Gebers.
30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
Poor should be translated humble. God’s first fruits shall be fed the word and kept safe. The end times are not for hunger of bread, but hunger for the word of God. (Amos 8:11)
God will slay Satan’s root and his legacy.
31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
What city? The whole Palestine will be dissolved.
The Messiah comes and none will be alone. Jesus Christ’s feet touch down on Mount Olive. An earthquake shall crack that mountain. (Zechariah 14:4; 8:3)
32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
What are the ambassadors going to tell the people? They will say this is the report—the truth.
What will you tell the people? The truth as it is written in God’s letter to you. God has taught it to you in this chapter as a proverb to make it easier for you to remember so you can tell others.
The Lord has re-established Zion and His humble people trust Him, the true God.

Thank you for reading the Story of the Fig Tree. Hope you enjoyed learning the proverb and will share it with others, as God wants all to know the truth.
