Ephesians 3
Chapters 3 of 3
Ephesians, which means permitted, was written by the Apostle Paul around 62AD, about 30 years after the Crucifixion.
Many are confused when they read the first three chapters of Ephesians because they have not been taught about the First Earth Age.
3 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
Paul is in prison for teaching the Gentiles about Jesus.
2 If you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
Dispensation is a stewardship. (Strong’s Concordance 3622) You will have favor with God.
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Once you understand the Earth Ages there isn’t a mystery anymore:
First Earth Age: Satan wanted to be God and a third of the angels followed him, so God destroyed that age.
Second Earth Age: We are currently living in this age.
Third Earth Age: Comes after the Millennium
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
The Holy Spirit came to the apostles on the day of Pentecost, 50 days after the Crucifixion.
6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
The Comforter came to you too. Now the Gentiles can partake in God’s promise of eternal life.
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
God gives us power (a gift of love) to fulfill His plan.
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Paul had persecuted the Christians. God forgave Paul and chose him to fulfill His plan.
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Not just fellowship, but stewardship. (Ephesians 3.2)The truth about the three earth ages are no longer hidden from us.
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Know the heavenly wisdom of God––the truth.
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
The eternal purpose is the plan put in motion by God.
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Talk to God through Jesus.
13 Wherefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Don’t fret about me (Paul) getting roughed up a bit. Instead concentrate on the glory you have and enjoy the power of God.
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Our Father is the father of every living thing.
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
The Holy Spirit strengthens our inner man, our spirit body.
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
By having faith you will grow in God’s love.
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
God is fully capable with boundless and endless love for all.
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passed knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.
When we love Christ, He passes the knowledge of the Father on to us.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worked in us,
We have power to use against the evil one.
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Throughout all three ages God is in charge forever and ever.
