God established the Earth. Well, with all due respect, He established the entire Universe. He established the Universe and the Earth with a set order of things. He set man on the Earth, and He also gave man a set order of things, according to His word.
Unfortunately, all too many today do not study His word. They do not have the time for God. They do not have time for His word. They are all caught up in self and the ways of the world.
Those who turn things upside down, away from His set order of things, take what is evil and say it is good. They take what is good and say it is evil. It is backwards of the way God set it up. Why? Because they reject His word. What is false becomes true and what is true becomes false. Wrong becomes right and right becomes wrong when you turn things upside down from God’s way.
And then they wonder why God does not bless this nation anymore. Do not get me wrong, we are blessed; however, we do not receive the blessings we could receive from Our Heavenly Father as a nation, as individuals, if we loved Him, served Him, and did things His way.
People turn things upside down, but God, Our Lord, is going to turn things upside right. Those who are wicked with things upside down will be turned upside down on themselves when He returns. He is going to set things upright. We are going to document that now, starting with the six woes of Isaiah.
Isaiah 5:8-25 Six Woes, Six Subjects
8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!
The First Woe. To God land was particularly important and He made sure His people had land. He set up a plan that every fifty years there would be a Jubilee where the land went back to the original owner. (Leviticus 25) What this verse is telling you is woe to you who cannot get enough land, always wanting more and more land. You could buy all the land from New York to California, and it still would not be enough to satisfy your covetousness.
9 In mine ears said the Lord of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.
The Lord of Hosts has heard the traditions of men are being taught in the church houses, the Place of God.
10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.
Bath, homer, and ephah are all measurements. Here we have a lot of land and a lot of seed, but it will produce little. Think spiritually and physically. You will not be fruitful if you do not do things God’s way. There is a lot of land out there and a lot of seed being planted, but there is not much return.
11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!
The Second Woe. They drink an extremely strong alcoholic drink and put themselves into a blind drunkenness.
12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.
People go out and have a good time dancing, singing, and drinking. This is not to say those things are bad and you are not to do those things. There is a time and a place for those things. However, if you put God aside completely and that is all you are interested in doing that is the woe. They do not see the operation of God’s hand. They do not care about Him or His words.
13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
Think spiritually. In the end times there will be a famine, not of bread and water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. (Amos 8:11) Too many churches are teaching traditions of men rather than the word of God.
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiced, shall descend into it.
They will go to their grave without the knowledge of God’s Glory. The seed is falling on deaf ears, as the people are spiritually dead.
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
The covetous man, the hero man and the proud man will all be humbled. It would be better to humble yourself before God rather than wait for Him to humble you.
16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
The Mighty God, the Holy God, is letting you know this will happen. You can count on it.
17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
The waste places of the fat (the rich) will not enjoy their excesses, the lambs (God’s people), and the strangers (foreigners) will feast.
18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
The Third Woe. Those with the cords of vanity have so much sin they have it by the cart loads.
19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
Let the Lord make speed for judgment. They do not really believe it; hence, they ask to see it. They think they are ready, but they are not.
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
The Fourth Woe. Note the introversion in all three clauses of this verse. They switch everything around. They turn things upside down.
When you think of light always think of truth; in other words, they put falsehoods for truth.
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
The Fifth Woe. They are on some ego trip, thinking they know better than God. They are all wrapped up in themselves.
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
The Sixth Woe. Some men are mice until they get a strong drink and then all of a sudden, they think they are heroes—mighty men.
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
The wicked or lawless ones who should be convicted are released. They mistreat the righteous ones. They will not stand for truth. They will not stop the lies. They continue keeping things upside down.
24 Therefore as the fire devoured the stubble, and the flame consumed the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
From the base or root of the plant to the very tippy top it is rotten, soon to be dead. They will not bear any fruit because they have cast away God’s laws. They have despised and rejected the Lord in favor of the false teaching of men, turning things upside down.
25 Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcasses were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
God is angry. He is upset about the spiritually dead carcasses. He is angry, but if you are off into the wrong ways of the world and turn back to Father, He still has that out-stretched hand there, waiting for you; ready to take you back into the fold.

They took God out of the schools, and people are wondering why children are shooting children. They say we need another gun law—it is the guns that killed the children, not another child that is lost, completely lost because they have taken God out of the schools.
They try to remove God from our vocabulary in public places, and then they wonder why the society has no morals.
They made same sex marriage legal when marriage should be between a man and a woman. A liberal judge says that is unconstitutional and overturns the popular vote of the people.
After turning things upside down, they wonder why God does not bless this nation anymore.
***
Contemplating things going upside down, darkness brings forth the worst upside-down thing. I am referring to when the anti-Christ comes into Jerusalem claiming to be Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:4) That is going to be the biggest upside down, the biggest falsehood against truth that you could possibly imagine. It is coming in the not-too-distant future.
We thank God for His out-stretched-hand. We ask God for His words of wisdom, to open our eyes and our ears to His plan, and protect us from following false teaching, so we will not get caught up in the way of the world that turns things upside down.
In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
